HM the King Launches Sea Promenade Development Works for Casablanca Hassan II Mosque

HM King Mohammed VI launched, on Wednesday, the development works of the sea promenade for the Casablanca Hassan II Mosque, a new achievement of the Grand Casablanca development plan (2015-2020).

Designed to be a platform for exchange and a meeting place for all the citizens, the sea promenade of the Casablanca Hassan II Mosque, will contribute to social cohesion, to improve the inhabitants' living conditions and to reinforce the city's tourist attractiveness.

The project consists of the construction, from the Hassan II mosque to the El Hank tip, of an urban park open to the public and a coast road along the sea. It will also include a panoramic area, a recreational area, a cultural area as well as a zone housing restaurants, cafés and an underground car parking.

A result of a partnership between the Ministry of the Interior and the district of Casablanca, this project, will cost 200 MDH and will require 14 months of work.
